Microgaming Clinches Deal to Use Megaways™ Game Mechanic

Date Added:

Leading online casino software provider Microgaming recently clinched a deal to use Big Time Gaming’s Megaways™ game mechanic on their upcoming slot releases. Big Time Gaming first launched this innovative online slot machine technology back in 2016, and it can now be found on more than 60 individual online slots. Some of the most famous Megaways slots out there today that many of you will already be familiar with by now are Extra Chilli Megaways, Bonanza Megaways, White Rabbit Megaways, Diamond Mine Megaways, Ted Megaways, Gonzo’s Quest Megaways, Piggy Riches Megaways, and Buffalo Rising Megaways.

The technology sees some lucky spins being played with up to as many as 117,649 different ways to win. Most Megaways slots have 6 reels (and usually one horizontal reel that spins above the main reel set), and each reel can have anywhere from 2 to 5 symbols of varying size. You never know how many win ways the next spin will be played with. “Megaways™ has had huge success and we’re excited to be integrating the mechanic into some of our future games. Big Time Gaming are proven innovators, and we are delighted to extend our relationship with them and grow their presence on our platform,” said the Microgaming CEO, John Coleman.

The first online slot from Microgaming to feature the Megaways game mechanic is the new Shamrock Holmes Megaways slot, which is expected to arrive in early January 2021. The game will be released simultaneously on desktop and mobile, and South African players will be able to access it either in the real money mode or free play demo mode over at Casino.com. This trusted SA online casino is free to sign up to, and you can find a secure link to the sign-up page and to your new player welcome bonus by going to our Casino.com review.

The Big Time Gaming CEO, Nik Robinson, also commented on Microgaming recently obtaining the new licensing agreement, saying, “We’re on a mission to bring the Megaways™ revolution to a bigger audience, and they don’t come much bigger than Microgaming.” He added, “These guys were industry pioneers and today they remain one of the biggest forces in the gaming space. As ardent slots fans, we’re delighted to be contributing in a small way to the Microgaming story.” I managed to obtain all of these comments directly from an official Microgaming press release.
